Capella Singapore, Singapore – Everything is big, bold and beautiful with the Hyundai Palisade, the brand's flagship, eight-seater SUV, which local Hyundai dealer, Komoco Motors, recently launched in Singapore at S$216,999 (prevailing COE at time of writing) to join its burgeoning stable of SUVs.

"2021 is a significant year for Komoco Motors as we offer a full line-up of different SUVs to meet the varied needs of our customers, and also reach out to new customers who have known us for only a few models," said Mr. Teo Hock Seng, Executive Chairman of Komoco Motors.

"Our SUV line-up can be compared to pieces on a chess board, from the smallest SUV, the Venue, to the enhanced electrified range of the Kona Hybrid and Kona Electric, and our largest and latest flagship Palisade – our new Palisade being the King of SUVs in this segment. We have more SUVs to offer as we are going to bring in the all-new Tucson in two variants, Petrol and Hybrid, as well as the Santa Fe Hybrid in the second half of the year."

The powerfully-styled Palisade is animated by a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, which musters 277hp and 336Nm via an 8spd automatic transmission, and you can imagine it'll make relatively light work of a heavy load.

Needless to say, it boasts a raft of active (Hyundai SmartSense for instance) and passive safety features, in addition to plenty of tech toys to add to the comfort and enjoyment of one's daily commute. We like that the expansive glass-roof allows ample light in to create a spacious and airy ambience.

There are plenty of USB ports throughout the cabin (including in the third-row), and the occupants plonk themselves on soft and supple, quilted leather seats. The third-row features power-folding/unfolding and reclining seats for ease of operation and passenger comfort, while the second-row can be deployed easily for easy third-row ingress/egress thanks to the one-touch operation.
