A tweet from the firm that owns the rights to the DeLorean brand – the Texas-based DeLorean Motor Company – seems to confirm that a luxury-orientated, gullwing-doored EV is on the horizon…

The same sneak video was also featured on Giorgetto Giugiaro's Italdesign twitter feed, clearly hinting that they have a hand in the new project. Giugiaro himself penned the original DMC, with its iconic stainless steel body.
The current DeLorean Motor Company was founded by Briton Stephen Wynne back in 1995, offering existing DeLorean owners repairs and rebuilds. Since 2016, there was already news of replica vehicles being built.
Hopefully this is not a flash in the pan, and we also get RHD models. So dealers here! Any takers?
