Mercedes-Benz Concept Store opens at the Great World Mall in Singapore

Singapore - If you're looking for something to do this Easter long weekend, you could check out the Mercedes-Benz Concept Store at the Great World Mall.

This platform for sustainable dialogue, dissemination and display is a collaboration between Mercedes-Benz Singapore, its authorised dealer Cycle and Carriage, and Hypemaker – a division of Hypebeast – that was tasked with bringing the store's sustainable message to life. The store will also be a retail point for the brand’s Mercedes-EQ electric vehicle models, and the EQS is on exclusive preview at the store’s launch.

Even the location was chosen with consideration, because the Great World Mall is a certified sustainable building. Within the Mercedes-Benz Concept Store itself, non-harmful and sustainable paints and consumables are used and it is also in the midst of attaining its own Green Mark certification by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in Singapore.

The Concept Store is divided into three areas: The Showcase, where visitors can interact with Mercedes-EQ electric vehicles; Artist @ Work, where partners can showcase their craft; and The Takeover, where thematic and sustainable lifestyle concepts will be present for consumers to enjoy.

At its launch, the Concept Store features Metamo Industries, Mosscape and Foreword Coffee Roasters, but Mercedes-Benz and Hypemaker will continue to reach out to potential collaborators across different fields and disciplines to come and be a part of the sustainable space.

“The environment is at the core of our Mercedes-Benz brand. In addition to the progress we’ve made in reducing our impact on the environment all across the supply chain as laid out in our Ambition 2039, we feel that now is the right time for us to play a leadership role in convening and collaborating with like-minded individuals and entities in taking environment-led initiatives forward in Singapore. The concept store is a place designed for dialogue on how we can all contribute to a greener tomorrow as outlined in the Singapore Green Plan 2030,” said Claudius Steinhoff, President & CEO of Daimler South East Asia/Mercedes-Benz Singapore.

“We are excited to launch this concept store in Singapore, showing consumers how we – along with our partners – define sustainability, and to use it as a platform to inspire others to contemplate and plan for their own journeys in becoming better stewards of the environment. We hope you’ll join us in this space, and in seriously discussing our collective future, contemplating the impact we leave behind,” he added.
