Mitsubishi Crosses Over Into The Weekend With The New Eclipse Cross

Singapore, 26 November 2021 - Just as the weekend begins, Mitsubishi rolls up with the reimagined Eclipse Cross coupe SUV.

The compact-sized SUV has been refreshed inside and out, and now sports a more striking Mitsubishi Dynamic Shield grille, flanked by a unique bisected lighting.

The rear has also been completely restyled, and with an overall length increase of 140mm, Mitsubishi has made more cargo room, measuring up an additional cubic foot with the tonneau cover installed.

The boot, which is now 405 litres, spams 1,000mm across, and can hold up to four 9-inch golf bags when the 60:40 style reclinable rear seats are folded.

The ownership experience has now been upgraded, with the inclusion of a larger eight-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio (SDA), which supports both Apple and Android devices.

The touchscreen has also been moved closer to the driver for easier access, and the touchpad on the central console has been replaced with a knob.

The reimagined Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross retains the same intercooled turbocharged 1.5 litre MIVEC four-cylinder engine as before, delivering 165hp and 250Nm from 2,400-4,500rpm.

The same INVECS-III CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) which features a stepped 8-Speed Sports Mode, drives the front wheels.

Buyers can choose from seven colours, including a new White Diamond. Safety-wise, the Eclipse Cross comes equipped with Active Stability Control (ASC) that brakes individual wheels when slip is detected when on a slippery surface or when making a turn.

There is also a Multi Around Monitor, with cameras on the sides, front and back which provides you with a 360 degree view of your surroundings, when you are parking or maneuvering through tight spaces.

“The new, visually striking Eclipse Cross is an appealing coupé SUV that differentiates itself from the traditional SUV on the roads with its bold and distinctive sporty exterior, packed with purposeful and functional design. Its four-cylinder, 16-valve petrol engines with turbocharger and intercooler are also indicative of the driving pleasure of this 5-seater SUV—a sensation with alacrity and one that breaks out of the ordinary,” says Royston Soh, Divisional Manager – Head, Multi-Franchise Sales.

All Mitsubishi cars have a 10-year engine warranty, and a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty.
