The Dodge Charger Daytona SRT EV will be available with NINE power outputs

Back in August, we brought you news of Dodge’s first all-electric muscle car concept, the Charger Daytona SRT. Now, Dodge has released further details – including nine possible powertrains – as it makes its debut at SEMA 2022.

Here’s what we know. The base-spec 340kW variant makes 449bhp, while one up from that, the 440kW variant, outputs 582hp. Sounds pretty healthy to us.

However, both variants offer two “Dodge Direct Connection” performance upgrade options, which boosts the base-spec model to 488 or 528bhp, and the upper-powered model to 621 or 661bhp respectively. The power upgrades are unlocked via a “crystal” key that plugs into the dashboard.

There will also be a range-topping Banshee powertrain, though Dodge is keeping specifics under wraps for now, with a later announcement to follow.

The concept at SEMA also wears a previously unseen Stryker Red paintjob (and looks rather smart, we reckon), Stage 2 badging, and lightweight carbon-fibre alloy wheels with 305mm drag redials. Dodge also adds there will be nine unique paint colours and nine different wheel combinations to choose from.

All-electric Dodge muscle car growing on you yet, folks?
