Volkswagen Group Singapore is new Cupra dealer that will service Seat and Cupra from 1st June 2023
Singapore - As of 1 June 2023, Volkswagen Group Singapore (VGS) will welcome the Cupra brand into its portfolio of brands – which currently includes VW and Skoda – to finally represent all the Group's 'volume' brands under one roof.
From 1st June, both SEAT and Cupra customers can come to VGS for servicing, maintenance and repairs.
To welcome them on their new journey with VGS, complimentary vehicle inspections, special deals on service packages and service voucher giveaways will be offered, with more details to be officially announced on June 1.
The incumbent Vertex Euro Motors will continue to service SEAT vehicles until the end of 2023, but whether any service partnerships will be extended from then on is still to be confirmed.
However, aftersales operations relating to Cupra models will be handled only by VGS from June 1 onwards.
Retail operations for the Cupra brand by VGS will start from 2024, with some whispers indicating that the first model brought in could be the Born.
There are no plans to continue the sales of SEAT models once the existing stock is cleared by Vertex Euro Motors by the end of 2023.
Dr. Kurt Leitner, Group Managing Director Volkswagen Group Singapore, tells us, "The Cupra brand's positioning, character and electrified models fit well with our plans."
He adds, "Electrification is not just our focus but the Volkswagen Group's. By 2030, every second Group vehicle delivered globally is expected to be all-electric."
"Our plans also are in line with the Singapore government initiatives – all new car and taxi registrations will be of cleaner-energy models from 2030," Dr. Leitner says.
