SFSG counts-down to 2015 F1 Race Day
Like last year, the run up to the 2015 F1 is preceded by the 'SIA Light Up The Night Carnival', a two-day event with race-related activities that reinforce race promoter Singapore GP's 'Rev Up Singapore!' campaign.
'We were very encouraged by the overwhelming response to the first-ever Singapore Airlines Light Up The Night Carnival last year. This year, we are bringing back the Carnival as a two-day event to allow more fans to enjoy exciting Formula 1??-related activities, as we gear up for the night race in September,' said Singapore Airlines Divisional Vice President Sales & Marketing, Mr. Foo Chai Woo.
'We are delighted to partner with Singapore Airlines for the Light Up The Night Carnival in conjunction with our Rev Up Singapore! campaign. With less than a month to the 2015 'FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX', we want to spread the excitement of Formula 1 to as many people as possible from the petrolheads to even fitness enthusiasts with the exciting offerings at the carnival,' said Singapore GP Deputy Chairman, Mr. Colin Syn.
The Scuderia FSG multi-make sportscar group took that opportunity to form the letters 'SIA' in a massive 42-car set-up that comprised Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens and even Singapore's sole Koenigsegg.
Due to the size of the convoys, one was flagged-off from the First Class check-in area of Changi Airport, while the second met at Millenia Walk; both groups would meet at Tatsuya before travelling en masse in full race and 'SIA' livery down Orchard Road to the staging point for the 'SIA' formation.
Race-day sees the group engaging its adopted charity, Beyond Social Services, by providing 50 sets of race passes for some lucky kids to attend the race.
