Champion Motors unboxes the new Suzuki S-Cross
Singapore - Suzuki, best known for producing interesting small cars, like the Swift Sport, brings us the S-Cross, their new Bold, Sophisticated, and Versatile SUV… well, actually, it is an extensive facelift of the previous car. So it shares the same approximate dimensions, and the same 2600mm wheelbase. At launch, their compact SUV is priced at $177,900, inclusive of COE. (accurate from 21 June to 5 July).
The re-skinning brings the S-Cross visually closer to the Toyota Corolla Cross-based Suzuki Across (which is unavailable in Singapore). It also gets new FILL LED Headlamps, each equipped with three LED position lamps. However, change is not skin deep, as the S-Cross features a reworked dashboard, now equipped with a new multifunctional 9-inch HD display audio system, which has Apple CarPlay. Cool features designed to aid in driving include a 360-degree parking camera, Adaptive Cruise Control and Weaving Alert.
At the heart of the car, is a 1.4 litre BoosterJet engine, which produces 128hp and 235Nm. The powertrain gets an additional boost and fuel savings via a Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) system, which is more commonly known as a Mild-Hybrid system. Paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, the S-Cross is able to attain an impressive 17.5km/l in combined fuel economy.

At launch, the Suzuki S-Cross is available in seven colours, which include Icy Deep Blue and Vibrant Red.
