Singapore - So yes, this final E 63 S which is offered only in graphite grey magno, marks the last time the V8 biturbo powertrain will be found in a Mercedes-AMG-badged E-Class.

Would you like your car’s engine built with that special "One man, one engine" treatment? If you do, it is going to set you back a cool $912488*. There are 999 built, and only 5 have been allocated for Singapore.

For a fitting send-off, the E 63 S 4MATIC+ Final Edition receives the AMG Night Package, which adds a bunch of glossy-garang elements to the exterior. This is finished off with trapezoidal, black chrome twin tailpipe trims. There are also 20-inch cross-spoke AMG forged wheels in high sheen black, topped with gloss-tinted clearcoat.

On the inside, AMG’s High-End Performance Seat Package is included, providing more lateral support, much of this coated in fine Nappa leather. The AMG Performance flat-bottomed steering is equipped with AMG’s standard steering wheel buttons, giving you quick access to many of the car’s dynamic functions. The wheel itself has Nappa leather/microfibre DINAMICA applied for improved grip. Of-course as a limited run car, it also gets a “AMG FINAL EDITION” badge with the designated “1 of 999” limitation.

The 4.0 hand-torqued V8 produces 612hp, and an earth-turning 850Nm, and is paired with the familiar AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G automatic transmission, which features a ‘RACE START’ function and shortened shift times’.

For putting that brute force onto tarmac, the 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system ensures optimum traction, but it still largely plays ball more like a RWD car, thanks to its fully variable torque distribution.

An electronic rear limited-slip diff helps to take care of finding grip, especially around corners. Adding to that cornering accuracy are its active dynamic engine mounts, which are designed to reduce engine movement, when you dial-up the car’s drive modes.

All of this whiz-bang gets the AMG car up to 100km/h in 3.4secs, and with the AMG Driver's package, maximum speed is bumped up to 300km/h.
