Singapore - Porsche Asia Pacific has introduced the enhanced Porsche Approved Warranty programme in the region – one of the first automotive brands to roll out a warranty offer with such a duration.

From 1st October 2020, the Porsche Approved Warranty programme will see its warranty period extended to 15 years.

All Porsche customers will now be able to increase their warranty coverage period up to the 15th year (from a maximum of ten years previously).

The extended Porsche Approved Warranty programme will apply to all Porsche vehicles in Singapore, without any change to the warranty prices, coverage and registration process.

“When it comes to the trust of our customers in the quality of Porsche vehicles, we are always raising the standard. We are confident in the reliability and performance of the vehicles, hence we decided to expand the duration of guarantee, emphasising our promise in quality. This makes Porsche Approved Warranty a unique offer in the automotive industry and we are proud to be one of the first brands to introduce a warranty period of 15 years,” says Mr. Jason Lim, General Manager of Stuttgart Auto, the official Singapore retailer of Porsche vehicles.

Porsche Approved Warranty was launched globally in 2002 and is now available in more than 90 countries.

The warranty is redeemable worldwide and covers all of the vehicle’s components, as well as repair and labour costs (with the exception of wear and tear parts). Best of all, the remaining duration of the warranty is automatically transferred to the new owner when the car is sold.

As an official agent of the brand, only genuine parts are used if any repair or improvement works are required, with all labour and diagnosis carried out by certified Porsche technicians.

The Porsche Approved Warranty can be purchased for a period of 12 months at a time provided the vehicle is no more than 14 years old and has a mileage of less than 200,000km. For vehicles younder than 13 years old, an optional warranty period of 24 months is also available.

Courtesy is a Way of Life

Porsche Centre Singapore has also launched a fleet of Porsche courtesy vehicles for customers while their vehicles are VOR (vehicle off the road) due to a breakdown, and is the first dealership across Porsche Asia Pacific’s 13 markets to do so.

The Porsche Assistance programme is available for all Porsche vehicles sold by Stuttgart Auto currently covered by a Porsche Approved Warranty programme.

In the Porsche Assistance programme, if a customer’s vehicle cannot be driven due to breakdown and cannot be restored to working order at the incident location or at the nearest Porsche Centre, a replacement Porsche vehicle will be provided, subject to availability.

“We are delighted to offer this exclusive privilege to our customers. It is unusual for luxury automotive dealerships to present its own cars – in our case, a Porsche – as courtesy vehicles and the Porsche Assistance fleet is a unique programme that underscores our commitment to giving our customers a premium ownership experience,” says Mr. Jason Lim, General Manager of Stuttgart Auto.
