BYD's Atto 3 EV Crossover will be coming to Singapore in July

It's official, the BYD Atto 3 electric crossover will be arriving in Singapore sometime in July. We first covered the announcement back in March (click these blue words to read more), but now that we have confirmation about the car’s arrival, here’s what you should know.

The all-new Atto 3 will be brought in by E-Auto, a division of Vantage Automotive Limited and the official authorised dealer for BYD vehicles in Singapore, and it joins the ranks of BYD’s other electric offerings like the e6 MPV and M3e electric Van.

The Atto 3 will be built atop the brand’s modular e-platform 3.0, a bespoke electric platform which we’re told is intended for high-performance EVs with an emphasis on safety, efficiency, space utilisation and design.

Marketed as the BYD Yuan in other regions, the Atto 3 models bound for Singapore would be the “top-spec models” with battery ranges of up to 480km on the NEDC cycle, so we can safely assume that the cars coming here would have a larger 60kWh battery pack. We’re also told that the battery pack will also have Vehicle-to-load capabilities, which essentially allows owners to use the car as a portable “power bank”.

The BYD Atto 3 will be powered by a front-mounted electric motor that produces 204 horsepower and 310Nm of torque, allowing the EV crossover to sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.3 seconds.

“We’re excited to announce the official unveiling of the all-new BYD ATTO 3 in July,” said Mr Anthony Teo, Managing Director of Vantage Automotive, “With resounding success since its launch in the Australian market, the ATTO 3’s exceptional power, performance, efficiency and safety features packaged in a stunningly designed SUV give us confidence that this EV will appeal to drivers in Singapore.”
